Hon Fortune Akujuobi who is a former National President of National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS) and an APGA aspirant for the IMO State House of Assembly took to his facebook handle to express his displeasure over the manner the leadership of the APGA handled the Party's primary elections.

APGA OWERRI WEST STATE CONSTITUENCY PRIMARY ELECTION : THE BATTLE IS NOT OVER YET
Happy Sunday to you all, leaders and members of our great party, The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), supporters and colleagues. I consider it a great privilege to make this address today.
As you are aware, the circumstances that bedeviled our great party on the 4th of October 2018. It happened before your presence, how some desperate aspirants and greedy Leaders connived with the returning officer Mrs Genevieve Ogbonna to produce a fake ballot paper, to rig the primary election in favour of their agent.
But, owing to the resistance they met on ground, they could not carry out their mission successfully at the Local government. Hence, the APGA Owerri West State Constituency election did not hold.
The story of what happened in Owerri West was also replicated in most of the LGAs across Imo State. APGA primary election for State House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives, Senate and guber never held!
Most of us are still in shock, realizing that the party is busy in Abuja sharing certificates of return to some aspirants, who approached them with the biggest Ghana Must Go bags. And they expect other aspirants who were denied the opportunity to test their popularity to let go and move on.
You are also aware that this factor of no primary election also played out in 2015. Candidates were selected randomly and issued certificates of returns. Then, we managed to survive the experience, hoping and believing that such ugly circumstances will never befall us in the party again. But today, the story of 2015 has been reenacted in 2019 and now. The BIG QUESTION is, DO WE NEED A SOOTHSAYER TO TELL US HOW 2023 WILL LOOK LIKE?
Some of us has been in this party since 2011 till date. the poor leadership of APGA slaps us on the left cheek, we turn the right cheek, without remorse, the party dashes more heavier slaps. Yet we keep faith, to show how foolish we are. Hence, the slap will keep coming!
God in heaven will bear me witness, I bear no grudges against any aspirant, I don't even envy any. We are all brothers, running the same race, we all desire to win. But, my grudge is with the party APGA, who keep on defrauding it's faithful members . The poor leadership of the party, laced with greed, from the local government up to the national are responsible for our predicaments. They are the reason we have been losing election in Imo State since 2011, till date. The story may never change because, the party leadership has normalized abnormality.
Therefore, seeing the poor vision that logged the party's decision, which has become monumental, there is need for us to explore other several available variables. It is tantamount to foolishness, to keep doing same thing, the same old way, while expecting a different result. We must think outside the box now!
For everyone, who has been very committed towards a new Dawn for our people, please, do not lose hope, keep hope alive, the battle is not over yet. There are so many roads that leads to the market. To all our supporters, FRESH INSIGHT MOVEMENT 2019, I urge you all to be strong. To all APGA faithfuls, who has laboured for this party for decades, yet no consolation for you, no benefits, no empowerment, but mountain of promises, the story never changes, but knew slogans, THIS IS THE TIME TO PROVE TO THEM THAT WE ARE NOT FOOLS.
In few days time, we will meet to take a decision of action. But, I want to assure you, there will surely be a light at the end of the tunnel.

KEEP HOPE ALIVE, THE DIFFERENCE WILL BE CLEAR.
