In a press statement released by his media aide, "It was an atmosphere of praise,worship,joy and harvest at ST. Partrick's catholic parish idume ogwa as the catholic youths organization of nigeria(CYON) headed by Iwuoha Chigbo yesterday presented the front line candidate for member representing the good people of mbaitoli in the IMO house of assembly, Hon.Collins Ugorji with an award of honour as the FRIEND OF THE YOUTHS.
The prestigious award was given to the man of unquestionable character and influence during their children and youth harvest held at the church auditorium.In show of solidarity the executive chairman of mbaitoli local government Engr Bathram Mbah was also in attendance with Collins ugorji and he emphasized on the need for mbaitoli to have leaders whose works or deeds would impact positively in the lives of all stressing on the need to look beyond party affiliation and go with this young man Hon.Collins Ugorji who has proven beyond doubt that he has the capacity to provide dividends of democracy.
Speaking to the large congregation after the reception of this award Hon.Collins Ugorji stated that he was perplexed with such a honour and vowed to strengthen his good works and always provide succor to the youths whenever he is called upon. He concluded by advising all to strive for greatness and follow the footsteps of people who can positively impact on them,this was met with a sumptuous applause by the congregation.
